- 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
Incorporate peanut butter: Gradually mix in peanut butter until well combined. or you can add it in last by designing the brownie (as I did)
Combine dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Pour batter into prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
Cool completely before cutting into squares.
